The Image of God series was approved by the Bishops Ad Hoc
Committee with outstanding commendations:

Commendations

Laudable
are the efforts to present accurately the content of faith; nothing
is found contrary to the teachings of the Catechism of the
Catholic Church.

Commendable
is the insistence found in the writings of Pope John Paul II on
the inherent dignity of the human person "created in the image
of God."

Praiseworthy
is the use of Sacred Scripture and the serious attention given
to biblical and church history as the foundation of our religious
tradition.

The
Image of God publication is a very attractively presented
catechetical series.
The
textbook and teachers manuals were approved in their entirety with
no revision required for conformity to the Catechism of
the Catholic Church.
