About the Author

Dr. Coleen Mast
A
popular speaker, author, and teacher, Dr. Mast has taught at the
elementary, junior high, and high school levels, while conducting
over 500 seminars on human sexuality and self-respect. Her philosophy
on abstinence is a Catholic-based value that she believes benefits
our medical and mental health.
With
degrees from four different colleges (including an Honorary Doctor
of Humane Letters from Quincy University), Dr. Mast has served on
various councils of the United States Catholic Conference, provided
training to youth programs of more than 30 dioceses nationwide,
served on the Pontifical Council for the Family at the Vatican,
and testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Health and
Human Services regarding teen pregnancy.
Dr.
Mast has also appeared on national TV and radio shows like "Mother
Angelica," "Geraldo," and "60 Minutes." She has completed two textbooks
on sexual morality for young teens, both of which include a student
workbook, parent guidebook, and teacher manual.
Dr.
Mast lives with her husband Kent and their five children in Bourbonnais,
IL, where they operate their publishing company, Respect Incorporated.
