Behold, O kind and
gentle Jesus,
I kneel before
you and pray
that you would
impress upon my heart
the virtues
of faith, hope and charity,
with true repentance
for my sins
and a firm purpose
of amendment.
At the same time, with
sorrow I meditate
on your five precious
wounds,
having in mind
the words which Davind spoke in prophecy:
"They have
pierced my hands and feet. I can count all my bones."

My Jesus, I believe
that you are in the
Blessed Sacrament.
I love you above all
things, and
I long for you in my soul. Since
I cannot now
receive you sacramentally,
come at least
spiritually into my heart. I
embrace you
and unite myself entirely to you;
never permit me to be separated from you.
