The Joyful Mysteries

FIRST

First Joyful Mystery
THE ANNUNCIATION

Our Father

1 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth to a virgin; and the virgin’s name was Mary. Luke 1,26-28

2 He came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” Luke1:28.

3. But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. Luke 1:29

4. The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.’ Luke 1:30

5. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.’ Luke 1:31

6 ‘He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke: 1:32,33

7. Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no husband?” Luke 1: 34

8. The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.’ Luke 1:35

Second Joyful Mystery
THE VISITATION

Our Father

1 "In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth." Luke21:39,40

2. "When Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit" Luke 2:41

3 "She exclaimed in a loud cry, 'Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb." Luke 2:42

4. "Mary said 'My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden.’" Luke 2:46-48

THE NATIVITY

Our Father

1. "While they were in Bethlehem, the time came for her to be delivered." Luke 1:6

THE PRESENTATION

Our Father

1. "And when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." Luke 2:22

THE FINDING OF JESUS IN THE TEMPLE

Our Father

1. "Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom." Luke 2:41,42
